This is a great substitute for grilled onions. In fact, when I was doing food festivals with OmNom (the restaurant in the UK I created recipes for), we used fried cabbage in the burgers and everyone tagged it as fried onions! So you get the same effect without that horrible smell oozing out of your pores the next day! 👍🏽

🥗 I N G R E D I E N T S

2 tbsp oil ¼ asafetida

2 cup finely shredded cabbage 1 tsp salt ½ tsp liquid amino

🌿 T H E M A G I C

1. Heat oil in a frying pan and add cabbage and sautè for a couple of minutes

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and sauté for about 5-8 minutes on medium heat, stirring frequently, until cabbage turns soft.
