The prior generation Chronomaster Open (view it here) was 42mm in size and was furnished with the El Primero 4061 movement. This new updated unit shrinks the case size with a more wearable and current 39. 5mm width, in addition to uses the new El Uno 3604 Automatic aka 1/10th of a second movement who has proliferated recently in the Zenith collection.
Along with the new case and mobility, the " open" the main dial is implemented otherwise and, in my opinion, looks considerably better. The new Chronomaster Open doesn't do away with the small seconds watch dial at 9 o’clock, although retains the classic three-colour stop-watch layout with a new perspective for the silicon star escape controls. I think it looks cleaner and more modern, without this " dig out" search that can turn some people away from with this type of watch.
