The widely rumored Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition was officially announced last week to the enthusiasm of many fans. However, without an official release date, speculation has begun on when it will launch, with a leak suggesting a drop in December.
Rockstar Games did not provide much information with the announcement of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. The game is known to feature remasters of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with a variety of gameplay enhancements that bring them closer to modern titles. However, the scope of these updates is unclear, as well as in general, when fans can get their hands on the game and for how much. Several leaks have already reported a possible November release of GTA: The Trilogy, and that it can be quite expensive, retailing for the full price of an AAA game. Polish gaming publication PPE has reported that GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition will be released on December 7, 2021.
According to its sources, the game will be physically released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on this date. with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S edition in 2022. PPE acknowledges the different release dates that are currently circulating, including the November digital release of Tom Henderson's GTA: The Trilogys, but generally indicates that digital releases and physical may be different. "If nothing changes, then in the first half of December GTA: The Trilogy The Definitive Edition will be available in a physical edition," concludes the translated article. The PPEs article makes some changes other than the official GTA: The Trilogys announcement, most notably the launch formats. For example, Rockstar Games did not make a delineation between the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions of the game, and the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions in the original presentation. While it doesn't specifically mention the mobile version 2022, the PPE apparently bundles the next-gen versions of the game with it, as they may not be available when the game first comes out.

It's pretty weird that GTA: The Trilogy doesn't have a release date when the release window is rumored to be almost here. Video games are guilty of general release dates, but there is usually a silent agreement between the developer and fans: a game with a 2023 release date definitely still has a long way to go before it is finished. Here, however, it was said that GTA: The Trilogy would be "Coming Soon" as well as releasing sometime this year, so sometime in the next two months, the game should be released. Now, with the November and December suggestions, it has become even more difficult to make any kind of good prediction.
